Peter Zilley

Madison - Peter C. Zilley, age 69, died on Monday, November 21, 2011 at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on February 26, 1942 to William and Mabel (Casey) Zilley. Peter spent his younger years in Beloit as well as Madison. He was united in marriage to Dianne Handel on May 31, 1974. Peter was a proud owner of many bars and restaurants, namely The Shuffle Inn and Laurel Tavern in Madison. He had a strong community presence and a love for Madison and its people. He also loved cars, enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas, and making family and friends happy. Peter is survived by his wife, Dianne; their son, Nathan; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Steve. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011 at CAPITOL LAKES HEALTH CENTER in the GRAND HALL, 333 W. Main Street, Madison. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Free parking is available in the ramp across from the main gate of Capitol Lakes, with a validated parking pass.
