Philip Geiger

Sun Prairie-Philip A. Geiger, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. He was born on June 6, 1949 in Manitowoc the son of Adalbert & Dorothy (Plamann) Geiger. Philip was united in marriage to Sandy Steele on May 21, 1977 in Madison. Phil was a loving husband, father, brother, and totally devoted to his family. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved his time at the cabin with his family. He will be missed by his beloved family which include his wife of over 34 years, Sandy; his sons, Chris (JoAnn) Geiger and John Geiger; his daughter, Shawna Geiger; his grandchildren, Chase and Griffin; his sisters, Kathy (Don) Weurthrick and Karla (Dave) Buhler; nieces and nephews. Philip was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, April, 17th at 7:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie with Rev. Bernt Tweit officiating. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service. A reception will follow service in the funeral home's community room. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name at the Sun Prairie Special Olympics.
