Phillip Neath

Phillip E. Neath, age 69, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Nazareth Health & Rehabilitation in Stoughton. He was born in Stoughton on September 23, 1951, the son of John and Eleanor Neath. After Eleanor’s unexpected passing, he was looked after by Ronald and Theresa Olsen. Phillip was employed at MARC in both the Mt. Horeb and Madison West locations, retiring in 2018. Phillip loved to travel and spending time outdoors fishing, kayaking, campfires. He looked forward to spending time with his sisters and nieces Colleen Huberd, Shelly Stagman, and Tammy Gassen.

Phillip is survived by two brothers, John of Deerfield and Richard of Edgerton; four sisters, Betty Neath of Waukesha, Norma Huberd of Stoughton, Roselyn (John) McCauley of Florida, and Kathy (Jon) Larsen of Blue Mounds, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert, Douglas, and Gary, and his special friends, Ronald and Theresa Olsen.

A funeral service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the time of service.

A special thank you to the staff at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation who cared for Philip during a very difficult year. As well as Hartland Hospice, Nurse Renee cared for Phillip and assisted the family. He lived his life by his motto, “Just taking it easy.”
