Phyllis Miller

FALL RIVER/SUN PRAIRIE-Phyllis Jean Miller, age 88, of Sun Prairie, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Sylvan Crossing in Fitchburg, WI.

Phyllis was born on September 20, 1930 in Fountain Prairie, WI to Carl Otto Miller and Elsie Agnes Miller. She graduated from Fall River High School and retired from the Fall River Foundry where she worked on the production line for many years. Phyllis passionately loved her animals, her flowers, her music, and George Jones. She was a woman of many talents and known for her delicious desserts, her enthusiasm for live music and never being afraid to step out on the dance floor.

Phyllis is survived by her sister, Dorothy Langetieg (Stoughton, WI), and sister-in-law, June Miller (Fall River, WI), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and eight sisters.

She will forever be remembered as a very kind, caring and soft spoken woman of faith, who at times carried a big stick. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held at the Cress Funeral Home at 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI from 11:00 - 2:00 on Saturday, March 23, 2019.

Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 PM (noon) on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 with a memorial service to begin at 12:00 PM. A luncheon reception at the funeral home will follow services. Private burial will take place at Fall River Cemetery in Fall River, Wisconsin.
