Pj Clark

March 12, 1990 — October 3, 2017

Paris Jamal Clark, affectionately known as PJ by his family and friends, was born on March 12th, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Northeast Wisconsin and graduated from Appleton East High School in 2008. PJ attended Saint Xavier University in Chicago and made a lasting impact through the founding of a club and his advocacy for student rights and activities on campus. He then transferred to the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh where he played football for the Titans and completed his Bachelor's degree in Marketing in 2013. PJ lived for a short time in Appleton, Wisconsin, and St. Cloud, Minnesota before moving to Plano, Texas to pursue an opportunity for advancement with the company he worked for. He tragically passed away on October 3rd, 2017 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 27.

PJ was a wonderful son, brother, and friend who grew up to be a bright and outgoing young man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and making people laugh. PJ spent the first ten years of his life as the baby of the family until his brother Quentin was born. He was close to his older sister and brother, Monique and Darnell, and grew close to his young brother Quentin once they became the only two Clark siblings living at home. An attentive brother, PJ took Quentin under his wing and taught him what he would need to know and do as an adult. PJ shared his love of football and his favorite player, Terrell "T.O." Owens, with Quentin and convinced him to like T.O. just as much. PJ loved his family and often checked in on his mom and brother while he still lived nearby and stayed in frequent contact with his older siblings.

PJ was interested in trying new experiences and broadening his horizons. He was involved in many sports and other activities, including football, mixed martial arts, and chess. He was also a fan of anime and loved rap, hip hop, seafood, pizza, and his mom's sweet potato pie. PJ always had a smile on his face and knew how to make people laugh which made him popular wherever he went. In addition to his sense of humor, everyone loved PJ for his sarcasm, wit, insight, and ability to see the bright side of life--you couldn't stay mad at him for long. Yet, PJ was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if he knew you needed it. As PJ came into his own, he became a strong supporter of the new civil rights movement and spoke out against injustice whenever he saw it.

PJ will always be loved and remembered by his mother Denise, his sister Monique, his brothers Darnell and Quentin, his grandmother Lessie, his uncles Jeff and Kevin, his extended family, his friends, and everyone who knew, loved, and appreciated him.
