Raymond Dobbel

Sun Prairie - Raymond A. Dobbel, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at his son's home in Marshall. He was born on October 24, 1927, in Sacramento, California, the son of Paul and Eva (Gurley) Dobbel. Raymond served in the Air Force during WWII and retired from the Air Force in 1968. He was united in marriage to Joan Roscoe on Nov. 8, 1950. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Paul (Kristin) Dobbel, Michael (Karla) Dobbel and Terri (Michael) Evans; grandchildren, Erin (Nate) Sellin, Matthew (Jacey) Dobbel, Ryan (Jessica) Dobbel, Brian (Emilie) Evans, Steven Evans, and Kaitlin (Spencer) Leibl; great grandchildren, Tyler Sellin, Taylor Dobbel and Hailey Dobbel; sister, Ann Haedon; brother, John (Kite) Dobbel; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joan and brothers, George, Robert, and Herman Dobbel.

A memorial service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
