Rebecca M. Shefchek

McFarland- Rebecca M. Shefchek, age 45, died on Monday, May 31, 2010 as a result of an automobile accident.  She was born in Madison on June 26, 1964, the daughter of Robert and Shirley (Schadt) Anderson.  On December 27, 1987 Rebecca married Joseph Shefchek in Estes Park, Colorado.  She was an avid skier and runner and participated in many marathons.  Rebecca loved to travel, especially to Anna Maria Island, Florida.  She was a precious soul who lived to help others.  Rebecca was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister.  She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Rachel; her mother, Shirley Kutz; brothers, Jeffrey (Ami) Anderson, Robert (Luci) Anderson and Lawrence (Jennifer) Anderson; sister-in-law, Chris Seaton; brothers-in-law, Tony (Ardele) and Alex (Mary) Shefchek; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Robert C. Anderson.  Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at McFarland Lutheran Church, 5529 Marsh Road, McFarland.  Friends may greet the family from 1:00 PM until the time of services on Saturday.
