Richard Erdahl

Stoughton- Richard Erdahl, age 70, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at his home. He was born in Stoughton on September 18, 1942, the eldest son of Harvey and Doris (Pingel) Erdahl. Richard took pride working on the family farm and in Madison for 12 years before he retired. He enjoyed working with his hands and talking to everyone. Richard is survived by his special friend, Mary Ring; brother, Harlan (Kay) Erdahl; nieces, Brenda (Steve) Collins and Wendy (Pat) Hansen-Haines; six great nieces; one great nephew; many cousins; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at West Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 1911 Koshkonong Road, Stoughton, with Rev. Richard Dowling officiating. Burial will follow in West Koshkonong Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and from 10:00 AM until the time of services Wednesday at church. Memorials may be made to West Koshkonong Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donors choice.
