Richard E. Jerdee

Richard Jerdee, age 64, died at the Ellen and Peter Johnson HospiceCare Residence on October 10, 2008 after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Dick had been with the Madison Department of Transportation for over 40 years, and was most recently the Traffic Operations Manager in the Traffic Engineering Division. Dick is survived by his sister Donna (Jerdee) Read of Mt. Horeb, sister-in-law Arlene (Kenneth) Jerdee of Janesville; a nephew Steven Read of Madison, and two nieces, Cathy (Jerdee) Bollig of Oregon, WI and Diane (Jerdee) Roth of Denver, IA. He is also survived by a great niece Jill (Bollig) Strand, three great nephews Daniel, Michael, and Benjamin Roth, and four great-great nieces and nephews. Dick is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Gertrude (Simonson) Jerdee, and an older brother Kenneth Jerdee. A memorial service for Dick will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 5:00PM with a visitation beginning at 3:00PM until the time of the service, at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway road, Madison, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to HospiceCare Inc, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
