Richard Pearson

June 11, 1925 — August 14, 2013

Stoughton- Richard "Dick" M. Pearson, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Skaalen Home. He was born on June 11, 1925, the son of Miles Curtis "Curt" and Marjorie Pearson. Dick graduated from UW-Madison. He enlisted into the Army Air Corps and was stationed in Lubbock, Texas. On August 4, 1962 Dick married Nancy Nilsson. Following in his fathers footsteps, he entered the Real Estate business. Dick worked as a Residential Real Estate Appraiser and owned and operated Pearson Appraisal Services. His father and brother owned Realty Associates. Dick was a senior member of American Society of Appraisers. He was an avid trout fisherman. Dick enjoyed gardening, working on his farm and helping Nancy with her horses. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy; brother, Tom Pearson; two nephews, William (Leslie) Pearson and their three sons, and Thomas Pearson II; niece, Lynn Wilson and her daughter and son; cousins; and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and step-mother, Ruby Pearson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Skaalen Home Chapel, 400 N. Morris Street, Stoughton, with Rev. James Koza officiating. A light reception will follow in the chapel. Burial will take place in East Koshkonong Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society or to the charity of the donors choice. Nancy wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Skaalen Friendship Circle for taking such good care of Dick.
