Richard Pollock

Richard E. (Dick) Pollock, age 85, of Waunakee, WI passed away on Monday, December 28th at a Madison Hospital. He was born to Earl and Mimadell (Jones) Pollock on May 7th 1935. He grew up on Madison's East side and graduated from Madison East High School. He married Florencia (Flo) Roh. He is survived by his wife of 64 years; his son,John Pollock; three daughters: Barbara (Mike) Boyeson, Margo Turner, and Michelle (Alan) Edwards; seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Walter) Holbein, Scott (Felicia) Boyeson, Mathew (Jason Kuehner) Boyeson, Laura (Josh Meyers) Pollock, Nicole (Addison Smith) Boyeson, Julie Edwards and Jacob Edwards; one great grandchild Ziva Meyers-Pollock; three brothers Ronald of Kissimmee, FL, Dale of Minneapolis, MN, and Rex of Waunakee, WI; and 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joette (Karl) Barnhart, daughter Patricia Pollock and granddaughter Sara Pollock. He was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life and valued his family above all else. He was an avid nature lover enjoying long walks at the "Old Place" (land owned by his family since 1900) and deer hunting with his son, brothers and nephews. He enjoyed golfing with family and friends. For 25+ years he golfed with the same foursome every Friday during the summer. In 1944 his father opened Pollock Autobody Shop which Dick owned and operated, after his father's retirement in 1972, until 2012. He will be greatly missed by both family and friends.  Memorial donations can be made to the Goodman Community Center, Second Harvest, Red Cross or the Salvation Army.

Private interment for Richard Pollock will be held at Roselawn Memorial Chapel on July 30th 2021. A gathering to share memories with family and friends will follow on July 31st 2021 at 1:00 pm. This will be held at The Laurel community room, 1111 Connery Cove, Waunakee.
