Richard "Dick" August Tiemann
Madison/Monona
Richard "Dick" August Tiemann passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29th, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Dick was born on March 20, 1946 the son of Wilbur and Arletta (Aherns) Tiemann. As a young boy, Dick enjoyed many camping trips to Wisconsin Dells with his parents and friends. Dick grew up in the area and graduated from Stoughton High School. Dick was a dedicated and hard worker. He worked for Anchor Bank for 35 years and retired as the head of Maintenance. He developed many friendships while working at the bank but one special relationship developed when Dick met Joyce. Dick was famous for his great "one liners" and Joyce couldn't resist. Joyce and Dick were married on New Year's Eve, 2004. He was welcomed into the family and quickly gained the hearts of his new children and grandchildren. Dick enjoyed spending time with family, watching Nascar, being outdoors, listening to music (especially Elvis and old Country), chocolate shakes as well as a good cookie! He was a special guy who was loved very much and will be missed immensely.
Dick is survived by his wife Joyce (Welsh) Tiemann along with children Jayne (Cutrano) Larson of Madison, WI, Cindy (Lynn) Braun of DeForest, WI, Michelle (Tom) Neebof Madison, WI, Jill Cutrano of Eden Prairie, MN and Michael (Kim) Cutrano of Cottage Grove, WI. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
