MADISON-Richard Francis Woroch, age 93 died on Friday March 7th 2014 at Oakwood Village Retirement Community.
Richard was born December 20th 1920 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He served in the Army HQ. Squadron 1 Fighter Command in 1943. Richard graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS and MS in mechanical engineering. On June 27th, 1947 he was united in marriage to Barbara June Ward. He worked as a mechanical engineer for the University of Wisconsin until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church. Richard enjoyed traveling, fishing and all things mechanical.
Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years Barbara; his two sons Gary Woroch and Gregory Woroch; five grandchildren, Steve and Jeff Woroch and Eric, Brion and Kimberly Woroch; a brother Eugene (Anna Jean) and their children Craig, Scott, Wendy, Sue and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Chester.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled at 11:00 am Thursday March 13th, 2014 in the chapel at the Oakwood Retirement Community, 6205 Mineral Point Road, Madison.
