With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rick James Gullickson, a beloved husband, father and a true friend, who left us on January 25, 2024, after a valiant fight with cancer.
Rick Gullickson was born on April 20, 1955, in Ridgeway, Wisconsin, to Glennis and Gladys Gullickson. He grew up in Ridgeway, attending local schools and initially farming with his family. Throughout his life, Rick returned to farming at various intervals, keeping a lasting connection with the land and agricultural work.
In addition to his life in farming, Rick successfully ran R. Gullickson Trucking for 30 years. His resilience and entrepreneurial spirit were the driving forces behind this business.
An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, Rick found great joy and freedom on the open road. His motorcycle adventures were a significant part of his life, reflecting his love for exploration and adventure. This passion was something he loved to share with friends and family, creating lasting memories.
Rick shared many enriching years with his wife, Colleen, and together they raised their children Heather and Adam. He was a loving father who imparted lessons of hard work, integrity, and the joys of life’s simple pleasures to his children.
A service to celebrate the life of Rick Gullickson will take place at 11:00 a.m. on February 10, 2024, at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
