Rita Briggs

MADISON- Rita Elaine Briggs, age 57, of Madison, passed with loving family at her side on July 13, 2012. She was born on July 22, 1954 in Madison.

Rita loved music and spread love wherever she went. She was an angel here on earth. She has now gone to heaven to spread her love with her loved ones. She was truly a joy and will be missed by everyone.

She is survived by her four sisters: Arlene Curtis of Baraboo, Jeanne Narloch of Blue Mounds, Edith (Ron) LaForge of Grantsburg, Bonnie (Bill) Briggs of Madison; three brothers: Robert (Christine) Briggs of Knoxville, Iowa, Alan (Char) Briggs of Illinois and Spencer (Judy) Briggs of Kilmichael, Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna R. Solberg, Madison; father, Floyd Frank Briggs, Alabama; brothers, Fred J. Narloch and Floyd Frank Erwin Briggs, UK; and sister, Janette Adler, Madison.

A special thank you to all the staff at Integrity, who provided loving care to Rita through her final years and also to the UW hospital staff for taking care of her through her remaining moments.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison.
