Robert P Bohn

Madison-Robert P. Bohn, age 87, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. He was born on May 15, 1922 and united in marriage to June Gustafson. Robert has been a longtime resident of Madison. He was a graduate of the University Of Wisconsin- School Of Engineering. Robert was employed for over 30 years with Wisconsin Power & Light (Alliant Energy). He served his country during WW II with the U.S. Army. He was a longtime member of the Lion's Club where he enjoyed bell ringing and working with the eye glass program. In his spare time he was an accomplished skier having skied all over the world and was a longtime member at Tyrol Basin Ski Resort. He also enjoyed walking and watching classic movies. Mr. Bohn is survived by his wife, June of the Skaalen Home, Stoughton; sons, Todd Bohn, Madison and Michael Bohn, Peoria, IL; his sister Susan; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5701 Raymond Road, with Rev. Sheryl L. Erickson officiating. A time of gathering will be held on Thursday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
