Robert ""Bob"" Brandon, age 79, of Waunakee died on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth. He was born on Sept. 15, 1930 in a farmhouse in Millville, WI to James and Annabelle (Scott) Brandon He grew up in the Boscobel and Mt Hope area. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force and married Eva Zink in l952 and she preceded him in death in 1993. He was employed at Gisholt for 21 years and later with Swansons and Badger Wash in Waunakee. He was also employed as an over the road truck driver for various companies. He enjoyed playing softball, watching the Packers and Brewers and hunting and fishing. Survivors include two daughters; Kate of Sauk Prairie and Kris (Jay Peterson) Blum of Waunakee; a son Richard (Sandra) Brandon of Windsor; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Del(Norma Jean Jones) Brandon; a sister, Suzanne (Paul Slaton)Brandon; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Jerry) Wells and Bonnie (Floyd) Myren; and a special friend, Maxine Kampmeier and a daughter-in-law Sue Brandon. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Eva; two sons, Roger ""Butch"", and Ron; a grandson, Jason; a granddaughter, Kimberly; and a brother Jim Brewer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home in Waunakee. The Reverend Karen Locken will preside. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in Vienna Cemetery.
