Robert C. Cohen

Robert Carl Cohen passed away on Jan. 19, 2025. He was born on Aug. 26, 1941, to Mildred (Solomon) and Joseph G. Cohen in Manhattan, NYC.

He graduated from NY City College and began his career in civil service working for the states of NY, NJ CA and WI in their SSDI Programs. Additionally, he was the Director of the WI Title.19 HMO Project. He retired out of WI Dept of Corrections, Bureau of Health Services. He also took up trail riding as a lifelong adventure and enjoyed Asian and Mexican cuisine. His passion was animal welfare. 

Robert is survived by his sister, Bonnie Cohen Brown, his partner Joyce Wells, his niece Wendy Cohen Brown, his nephews Scott and Chris Cohen, his beloved friend, Allan Fang, and his buddies who shared a meal or raised a glass, rode a horse or played chess with him. He will be missed by his diverse friends and colleagues. 

His beloved companions, Pudgy Cohen, Squirmy D. Codfish, Skylar Renfield Redfish, and Hercules Cohen, met him at the Rainbow Bridge.

Robert was preceded in death by his partner Lucille Olson and his twin brother Richard Cohen.
