Robert J. Faren

Robert J. “Bob” Faren, 78, of Middleton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Greenway Manor in Spring Green.  Bob was born on June 14, 1945 to Obert and Alice (Tormey) Faren.  He married the love of his life, Judy (Kolb) Faren on June 25, 1966.  Bob joined the Marines out of High School and later started a career in commercial art then later started his electrical business, Faren Electric which he ran with his wife Judy.  They are members of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Middleton.  

Bob cherished the times spent with his family and grandchildren, making many treasured and joyous memories.  He enjoyed taking care of others, bringing happiness and laughter. Bob’s sense of humor and positivity provided cheer and love always. He deeply valued family and friends.  He loved spending time at their family cottage and enjoying classic cars, especially ‘57 Chevys.  Bob was a proud veteran and an active member of the community as a volunteer for Middleton Fire Department, and member of the Middleton Knights of Columbus Council.

Bob is survived by his children, son Joe (Sara) Faren, daughter Becky (Ron) Schroeder, grandchildren Nick and Kaia Schroeder, Quintin, Maleah and Mason Faren, sisters Margaret (Ralph) Eckhardt, Mary (Rick) Reichardt, Maureen (Jack) Doescher, sister-in-law, Carol Faren and sister-in-law Kathy Faren.  He is preceded in death by his wife Judy Faren, his parents, and brothers Jim Faren, and Mike Faren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13 at 9:30-11:00 at Cress Funeral Home, 6021 University Ave., Madison.   The service will be at 11:00, lunch to follow.
