Robert Gehrke

Robert Paul Gehrke, age 64 of Madison, WI passed away peacefully on January 17, 2022 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to Paul and Donna (Horsfall) Gehrke in Rio Vista, CA and raised in the Madison area, Robert was an Army Veteran, a roofer by trade and an avid Harley Davidson rider. He was a master of the grill, a man of good luck who loved football, fishing, camping, country road trips, being surrounded by friends and Sunday Dinners with family.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Horsfall; his loving wife Wendy (Leckwee) Gehrke; his children Austin (Aja) Pulvermacher and Autumn (Jacob) Gehrke; his Grandson Aden Pulvermacher; his sister Tammy Gehrke; his niece/god daughter Lynleigh Gehrke; many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Gehrke; His stepfather Roger Horsfall; Grandparents, Reno and Pauline Gehrke; Edward and Sadie Gilbert; and dear friend Rick Reese.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at Cress Funeral Home 3325 East Washington Ave Madison, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm with service to follow.

Robert will be forever loved.
