Robert Halseth passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 in Madison, WI. Bob was 93 years old. He was born in La Crosse, WI to George Halseth and Emma (Brunner) Halseth, Oct. 5, 1929.
He married Betty Blizard Sept. 7, 1957.
He was a veteran of the Korean War. He served in the Navy Reserve.
He worked at the University of Wisconsin Madison in the Mechanical Engineering dept. until he retired.
Bob loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing, working in the workshop. Making and restoring furniture.
Bob and his wife Betty loved to travel and spend their time in Arizona and their home of 60 years in the Hillfarm neighborhood in Madison.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, brother in-law, William Shuda of La Crosse WI. Nephews and Nieces, Steven (Susan) Shuda of La Crosse, WI, Debra (Larry) Blum of La Crosse, WI, Tony (Sherry) Shuda of La Crescent, MN, Mark (Tina) Shuda of La Crosse, WI. Many Great and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.
Special friends Cathy Sniff of Madison, Robert and Marrilee Sachtien of Waunakee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanne Shuda and a great nephew Brian Shuda.
Betty and the family would like to thank the care provider at Meriter Hospital and Patient Care Partners LLC. for all the wonderful care for Bob.
Following Bob’s wishes he will be cremated, a celebration of life will be held sometime in the Spring or Summer of 2023 in La Crosse.
Bob loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his wife Betty, family, and friends.
