Madison - Robert "Bob" Steven Leiser, age 72, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 14, 2019.
Bob was born in Madison in 1946. He graduated from Madison East High School and worked for a local brewery. Shortly thereafter Bob became a PFC in the Army Air Cav I division, serving his country in Vietnam.
After returning home, Bob started working in the printing industry and then moved onto injection molding. Bob then moved to Boulder Junction where he worked odd jobs and dreamed of building a home. After a couple of years, he moved back to Madison where he worked in a warehouse until he retired.
Bob was an avid reader. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching Nascar races and liked to visit with his family. He had a great sense of humor and a thoughtful heart.
Bob survived by his four siblings; Jacqueline, Marlene (Ronald), Laurine, and William. He was preceded in death by his parents E. Mildred and Chester Leiser and a brother-in-law Michael Schuetz.
A gathering and celebration of Bob's life will be held at CRESS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, on Friday, February 22 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
