Robert W. Olson

Robert W. Olson, age 80, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Waunakee.  He was born June 16, 1929, in Madison, the son of Clarence and Hulda (Kestila) Olson.  Bob had been employed by Kayser Ford, H.F. Kessenich Co.for 25 years, Environmental Supplies and the City of Madison as a ""crossing guard"".  He was a member of Lakeview Lutheran Church, Madison Masonic Lodge #5 for over 50 years and the Shriners.  He loved auto racing and had served as a Past President of Badger Midget Auto Racing.   Survivors include 2 daughters: Vicki (Richard) Wind of Kenosha and Kesti (John) McCredie of Madison; 6 grandchildren: Helmi Halvorson, Hilary Wind, Carly McCredie, Robert (Christine) McCredie and Erik Wind and 6 great grandchildren.  Bob was preceded in death by his wife Thelma on October 5, 2001 and his parents.   Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 14 at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.  Reverend Dean Kirst will officiate and burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  The family sends a special thank you to Waunakee Manor for the special care they have given Bob.
