Robert “Scott” Temple, age 61, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024, surrounded by his family after a special trip to Yellowstone National Park while under hospice’s care for Pancreatic Cancer. Scott was born June 10, 1963, in Milwaukee, WI to Robert L. and Jean (Harnish) Temple. He married Karla Miller on August 22, 1992 in Madison.
Scott worked as a programmer on mainframe computers during the Y2K bug era. He is a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and designed his church’s first website and was active in other administrative church ministries including its prayer chain.
Scott had a great sense of humor and always put a smile on the faces of those that knew him.
Scott is survived by his wife of almost 32 years Karla; children David, Steven and Jeanna; grandchildren Aubrey, Phoebe, Nate and their mother Amber; stepmother Lucille Temple; siblings Neal (Nancy) and Elana ; and is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Ginny, brother Jim and grandson Wesley.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 24, 2024, at 12 Noon at ST. LUKE’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 4011 Major Ave. Madison, WI 53716. A private burial took place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
