Robert Frederick Sell, age 88, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 surrounded by family after a long battle of pulmonary fibrosis.
Bob was born on February 15, 1925 in Beaver Dam, Wis the son of Carl and Hattie (Zimmer) Sell. He served in WWII in the US Army seeing action in the European Theatre. Bob obtained his Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the UW-Madison after his service in the war. He worked at Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois and then was a long time employee for the State of Wisconsin. He and Mildred (Hansen) were united in marriage on July 9, 1955.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; his children, Steven (Judy), Elizabeth, David (Laura), and James; Grandchildren, Henry, Grace, Michael (Jessica), Robert, Connor and Derek; and one great grandson, Jack. Bob is further survived by his nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at OAKWOOD VILLAGE UNIVERSITY WOODS CAMPUS IN THE RESURRECTION CHAPEL, 6205 Mineral Point Road, Madison on Saturday, July 27, at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Douglas Dushack officiating. A visitation will be held at Oakwood Resurrection Chapel on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
