Robert Tieman

FITCHBURG - Robert G. "Bob" Tieman, age 77, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Meriter Hospital in Madison after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on October 18, 1934 in Madison, the son of Henry and Aurelia (Priebe) Tieman.
He was known for his witty sense of humor and his ability to teach and guide people. Some of his passions included participating in Devils head ski patrol for over 25 years and spending summers on the lake with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 37 years Lynn, his children Russ (Ann) Tieman, Joan (Brad) Hablutzel, and one granddaughter, Ella Tieman.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Tieman and Aurelia (Tieman) Nygren.
A visitation will be held from 5pm until 7:30pm on Wednesday Jan. 4, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Donations in Bob's name can be made to The Paul Carbone Cancer Center. www.uwhealth.org
