Robert Weiler

Robert J. (Bob) Weiler passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. He was born in Milwaukee, WI, son of John and Edwina (Feldner) Weiler on August 20, 1926. He was united in marriage to Audrie Klawitter on November 20, 1948 and together they raised seven children.

Bob served in the US Army Air Corp and was in the occupation forces in Munich, Germany. He was a master plumber and began his own business in Neshkoro, WI, which he operated for 26 years. Bob and Audrie eventually retired to Crescent City, FL where he pursued his passion for woodworking. Many people who knew him are the fortunate recipients of the beautiful things he made.

He is survived by his children Margaret (Don) Mayer, Catherine (Mark) Isenberg, Barbara (Russ) Foskett, Linda (Dan Houston) Weiler, Thomas (Sue) Weiler, John (Alexandra) Weiler and son-in-law William Solchenberger; grandchildren, Chris (Linda) Solchenberger, Matt Solchenberger, Tim Solchenberger, Amy Schmitt, Jessica (Thad)Brockman, Anna Isenberg, Eve (Pat) Ferguson, Josh (Julie) Foskett, Rebecca (Mitch) St. John, Joe Foskett, Rose (Jesse Reinow) Weiler, Rob Weiler, Katelyn Weiler, Emily Weiler and Erik Weiler; 20 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; sister Mary Jean Nielsen.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Audrie, daughter Ruthann Solchenberger and sister Rosita Weiler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11:00 am on Monday, July 11, 2016 with Father Michael Radowicz presiding. Visitation will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Ave., Madison from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday July 10, 2016, and from 10:00 am until time of mass at the church.

The family would like to express special thanks to the RCAC staff at Waunakee Manor and the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital and Hospice for their wonderful compassionate care.
