Robin Lynette Johnson, 59, of Madison, WI passed away on February 25th, 2016. She was born in Chicago, IL to Cleo Dorselle Jones and Emanuel Murphy on September 14th, 1956.

Robin spent time working as a personal care giver in private homes and nursing homes, and spent the last of her working years as a laborer. As a survivor of cancer, she also dedicated herself to giving back to organizations such as St. Jude's that helped others fight the battle.

Among the things she loved to do, collecting coins and singing her oldies were at the top of the list. She also enjoyed writing poems, and in 1998 had a poem titled "Mom's Escape" published. She was also an avid reader, and had a great sense of humor.

Robin is survived by her husband William H. Johnson; her three children, Brian M. Murphy, Robin L. Murphy, and Latia B. Jarmon; her grandchildren Tatiana M. Jensen, Shakiyla Fears-Murphy, Sebastian Murphy-Carpenter, Aaliyah Murphy-Carpenter; siblings Theodore E. Thomas, Arletta Elaine Leverette, Andrea M. Murphy, John Murphy, and a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, and siblings Douglas Thomas, Francine Joy Booker, Emanuel Lee Murphy, Jr.

Her beautiful voice, smile, and fighting spirit will be truly missed.
