Rodney J. Kuehn, age 69, died Wednesday, October 6 in Fitchburg after a long battle with cancer. He was born September 30, 1941, the son of Wilbert and Sybilla (Laufenburg) Kuehn. Â Prior to his retirement from Hayes Transport in 2007, Rodney spent over 40 years driving for numerous other trucking companies and as an owner/operator. He loved the open road, seeing new places, and meeting new people. Â In his retirement, Rodney took advantage of his timespending it with his children, telling jokes with his friends, and still traveling now and again. Â Even during his toughest days he still had a story to tell. Â Rodney was also a long time member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. Â Survivors include 2 daughters: Debbie (Ken MacKenzie) McCoy of Madison and Lori (Robert) Teague of Evansville; 1 son: Brian Kuehn of Madison; 2 grandsons: Robbie and Logan Teague; 1 sister: Arlene Taylor of Madison and 1 brother: Donovan (Carol) Kuehn of Cedarburg. Â Rodney was preceded in death by his parents. Â A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 16 at ST. ALBERT the GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH 2402 St. Albert Drive where friends may call from 9:30 am until time of Mass. Monsignor Terrence Connors will officiate.
