Rodney Michael Schauer

Waunakee-Rodney Michael ""Rod"" Schauer age 34 passed away peacefully at home of a heart attack on Tues. June 28, 2011. He was born on Nov 22, 1976 in Madison, the son of Rita (Derra) Viloria. Rodney was employed at RCH Cable. He was also a student at Madison Area Technical College, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. He loved fishing, golf and the Southern California coast. He enjoyed spending time at the water park and playing video games with his stepson, Randy.
Survivors include his wife Carolynne Larsen-Schauer; his stepsons, Nicholas, Joseph and Randy Larsen; his mother, Rita (Derra) Viloria; his siblings Robert Schauer and Jenni (Schauer) Voeck; grandmother Violet Herricks; a niece Marissa Duncan; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Andrew and Clara Derra.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. July 2, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church 209 South St. Waunakee. Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Sat. from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. A reception will follow the mass.
