Rodney Keith Weaver, age 78 passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012. He was born in Brooklyn, WI on December 25, 1933 to Grace (Schulz) and Keith Weaver. Rod graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1952. Rod was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army. He worked at Federal Refrigeration until his retirement after 33 years. Rodney gave his life to the Lord and was baptized by Pastor Dan Hayden of the Middleton Baptist Church on September 25, 1976. On June 2, 2001 Rodney was united in marriage to Betty Jean (Turk) Waite.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; sister, Phyllis (John) Deegan of Stoughton; several nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law, Robert Syse of Madison and John Deegan of Stoughton. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Elaine and LaVonne.
Rod's love for music and his singing will always be remembered.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Stoughton Baptist Church, 125 Cty Hwy B, Stoughton with Rev. Mark Weiss officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will be served immediately after service with burial following in Brooklyn Cemetery.
