Roger Brandt

McFarland/Westport - Roger F. Brandt, age 71, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on June 3, 1944 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, the son of Fredrick and Ruth (Berend) Brandt.

On November 6, 1965, Roger was united in marriage to Beverly "Bev" Carpenter in Cottage Grove. For many years, Roger worked for McFarland School District as a custodian until his retirement. Roger was very proud of his sobriety over the past 30 years and the friends he made at the Monona Serenity Club over the years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, traveling out West and the many motorcycling trips he and Bev had taken over the years. Roger was also an avid NASCAR and Packer fan.

Roger is survived by his two children, Brett (Karleen) Brandt and Dawn Ness; five grandchildren, Austin, Preston and Quinton Brandt and Sydney and Samuel Ness and their father Richard Ness. He is also survived by other loving family and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Beverly "Bev" Brandt who passed on February 23, 2016.

A memorial gather to celebrate Roger's life will be held at CRESS FUNERAL Home, 5801 Hwy 51, McFarland, WI on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm.
