Roger Grosse

WAUNAKEE- Roger W. Grosse, age 63, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Roger was born September 13, 1953 in Madison WI at St. Mary's Hospital, to parents Clayton Grosse and Rose Grosse (nee Buechner). His is survived by his mother Rose; his siblings Diane Henry (Bill), Gary Grosse (Tamie), and Janet Duhr (Chris Davis); and his son Nate Grosse (Julie Mankowski).

He spent many years working in construction, including 25 years at Wick Homes. In the year before his passing, he had begun crossing guard duties for the Waunakee Schools, which brought him great joy.

Despite his health issues, Roger was an talented gardener and had a lovely small garden at his apartment in Waunakee, WI. In addition, he loved to bird watch and had several feeders so he could attract local birds to his home.

Roger was a huge sports fan, and followed the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers avidly. He was always ready to discuss the last game and was always looking forward to the next one.

He will be missed.

Gathering will be from 2-4 PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
