Johnson, Roger 'Dave'
Stoughton- Roger David Dave' Johnson, age 54, passed away at his home in Stoughton, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. He was born in Madison on May 4, 1954, a son of Roger and Maxine (Holland) Johnson. On August 24, 1974, he was united in marriage to Judy Thorson at First Lutheran Church in Stoughton. He worked for 22 years for the City of Stoughton Utilities. Roger loved trains, and painted and collected model trains. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife Judy, seven sisters, Terry (Mike) Campbell, Wendy Johnson, Patty (Truman) Strommen, Lori (Paul) Rockwell, Jodie (Larry) Densmore, Cindy Aaberg and Tammie Houser; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Sara. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 11:00 am at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton, with the Rev. Robert Beckstrand officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran south Cemetery in Stoughton. The family will greet friends on Friday, September 26 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and again at church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Following services at the cemetery, there will be a reception at the VFW Hall in Stoughton. Special thanks to HospiceCare, and to Roger's family and friends for their help and support.
