Stoughton - Roger G. Nelson, age 92, passed away on January 20, 2025, in Stoughton, WI. He was born on September 7, 1932, to Theodore and Annie (Greig) Nelson. After graduating from Stoughton High School, he joined the Army and served in Berlin, Germany during the Korean War from 1952-54. He was a proud Veteran.
Roger worked at Uniroyal for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He was an avid reader of the Wisconsin State Journal and a dedicated Packer and Badger sports fan. He enjoyed old TV drama series (Gunsmoke), daily walks in the neighborhood and keeping up on car news. He spent his entire life as a bachelor living on Stoughton’s east side. His new cars were his pride and joy.
Roger is survived by five nieces and nephews, Larry Grefsheim, Linda Henriksen, Lianne (Rick) Burnson; Debra (Al) O’Leary; and Mark Nelson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Agnes (Nelson) Grefsheim; two brothers, Claire Nelson and Arnold Nelson; infant sister, Martha; infant brother, Truman; brother-in-law, Richard (Agnes) Grefsheim; sister in-law, Joan (Claire) Nelson; Carol (Arnie) Nelson; nephew, Loren Grefsheim.

Roger was kind, generous, and fiercely independent. He will be missed.
