Roger Walls

Madison - Roger L. Walls, age 66 passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019, (the day before his 67th birthday) with his loving family by his side. Following Roger's death, he proudly donated his eyes to the Lions Eye Bank.

He was born on October 18, 1952 in Madison, the son of Leonard and Hilda (Steinmetz) Walls. Roger enlisted in the United States Navy in January of 1973 and was stationed in Adak, Alaska. When he returned home, he began working for Madison Metro Bus for 34 years until his retirement on January 4, 2008. Roger was united in marriage to Margaret "Peg" S. Trittin on July 10, 1977. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0501, Brothers of the Third Wheel and Teamsters Local #695. In his spare time, he enjoyed trikes, woodworking, scuba diving, photography, making his wife and others laugh, and playing jokes on his neighbors in Val Vista/Fiesta Mesa Village in Mesa, AZ.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret "Peg" Walls of Madison, brother; Larry Walls of Waunakee, WI. He is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law; Fran Walls.

Memorial services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 3325 East Washington Avenue, Madison on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 3:00 pm. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 p.m.
