Rolland Hippe

Madison - Rolland Hippe, age 83, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Wyoming. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. On June 10, 1950 Rolland was united in marriage to Rita Hilsenhoff.

Rolland is survived by his five sons, Richard (Alice Daly) Hippe of Roanoke, VA, David (Lynn) Hippe of Valdez, AK, Ronald Hippe of Ramona, CA, Douglas (Lisa Kinney) Hippe of Ironwood, MI, and Gerald (Christina) Hippe of San Ramon, CA; grandchildren, Jenkins Mends-Cole III, Jamie Hippe, Jacqy Hippe, Ian Hippe, Matthew Hippe, Ryan Hippe and Kevin Hippe and one great granddaughter, Pella Avent; a brother, Ben (Sue) Hippe; sisters, Audrey (Gamber) Tegtmeyer and Marlys (Ray) Andersen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rita; a brother, Ken Hippe and a sister, Gladys Olson.

A funeral service will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Rd., Madison, on Friday, August 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brent Campbell officiating. Visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, on Thursday, August 4, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
