Ronald "Ron" Dahmen, Age 70, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Madison on July 5, 1948, the son of Gilbert and Mary Ann (Bram) Dahmen. He was united in marriage to Jody Damhoff at St. Peter's Catholic Church in South Beloit on September 25, 1982. They were together for 35 years and raised two daughters.

Ron graduated from Middleton High School in 1966 and then graduated from MATC. He worked for Chase Lumber for 25 years. He was actively involved at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, where he enjoyed being a sponsor for new members and singing in the choir. He was a collector of John Deere Tractors and was a member of the Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club. One of his greatest pleasures was sending birthday cards to over 200 family and friends and even people he hardly knew. Ron will be remembered as a simple man, who enjoyed the quiet life.

He is survived by his wife Jody; his daughters Elizabeth and Kathryn and his father Gilbert; his siblings JoAnn Dahmen Ripp, Terry (Le) Dahmen, Gary (Jerilyn) Dahmen, Dean (Melissa) Dahmen and Tim (Barb) Dahmen. He also leaves behind many other extended relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann, brother Doug and sister in law Ann.

A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. ALBERT THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2420 St. Albert Drive, Sun Prairie on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. with Monsignor Donn Heiar presiding and Monsignor Terrence Connors, as concelebrant. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of the Mass.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to his brother Dean for his gift of a kidney in 1982. They also would like to thank friends and family and the staff at Fresenius Dialysis that have supported him the last 3 years. Also special thanks to the staff at Agrace Hospicecare who helped care for him at home in his final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Albert the Great Catholic Church or Agrace HospiceCare.
