In Loving Memory
Ronald " Fuzzy" Thurston, age 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, April 21, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born May 9, 1946 in Tacoma, Washington. He was the son of Milo and Joy ( Elmer) Thurston.
Fuzzy was united in marriage to Evonne Starks on April 8, 1972 in Madison. He graduated from Madison East in 1964. After graduation he joined the 826 Ordinance Co. of Madison. His company was activated in 1968 and deployed to Vietnam. Upon his return in 1969 he began a 45year career as a dealer for Snap On Tools. Fuzzy loved to watch NASCAR and enjoyed Midget Racing at Angell Park. He was a member of the VFW Post 9362 in Sun Prairie.
Fuzzy was a loving husband of 42 years to Evonne; father to sons Charlie (Tammy Shelton) Thurston and Robin Olson; grandfather to Robert Olson, Blake Thurston and Alexis Thurston; and brother to Joan ( Larry) Koch. He leaves behind many dear relatives. Fuzzy was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for Fuzzy will be held 12:00pm, Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Cress Funeral Home 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until time of service at the funeral home. There will be a celebration of his life following the service at VFW Post 9362 349 S. Walker Street in Sun Prairie.
