Rosalie DiMaggio Cannarella

November 17, 1941 — November 1, 2024

Rosalie DiMaggio Cannarella returned to our Heavenly Father on All Saints Day, November 1st, 2024, embraced by the love and prayers of her family. She was born on November 17th, 1941. Rosalie was a beacon of warmth and generosity, known for her beautiful smile and her kind, loving spirit.

Born and raised in the Greenbush area, Rosalie graduated from Central High School in 1959. Her passion for fashion and design led her to a fulfilling career alongside her husband, John Cannarella. Together, they opened and ran A1 Furniture for over 43 years, a testament to their dedication and shared vision.

Rosalie's greatest joy was her family. She met the love of her life, John, while he was stationed with the Air Force at Truax. They shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and companionship. Rosalie was a devoted mother to her four children, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Christy Rector and her family for their compassionate care of Rosalie over the past 7 years during her battle with dementia. Rosalie's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her. Her radiant smile and loving heart will be deeply missed.

Rosalie is survived by her husband, John Joseph Cannarella; daughters, Maria Cannarella and Christina Cannarella; sons, John Cannarella and Paul Cannarella; grandchildren, Zachary and Johnny Hatch, Anthony and Dominic Cannarella-Andersen, Sophia and Chase Cannarella; sisters, Pauline DiMaggio and Gerri DiMaggio-Pesselman; and her brother-in-law, Robert Pesselman.

Rosalie is preceded in death by her mother, Mayme DiMaggio; father Charles DiMaggio; and brother, Steven DiMaggio.

A visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 209 South Street, Waunakee from 9:30 to 11 am followed by a Mass on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024. A Celebration of Life/Luncheon will follow the Mass at Rex's Innkeeper, Waunakee. All are welcome.
