Roseann Johnson

Marshall- RoseAnn Johnson, age 68, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 1, 2012.

RoseAnn was born on December 6, 1943 in Madison, WI, the daughter of Richard Nordness Sr. and Irene Guetzlaff (Krause). She was raised by Irene and Willard Guetzlaff.

RoseAnn graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1962. She married Curt Johnson on June 8, 1963 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie. They later moved to Marshall in 1973. RoseAnn retired as the head of the Pre-audit department from the University of Wisconsin in Madison after 35 years.

RoseAnn enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, casino trips, reading, traveling in past years and getting together with her classmates of 1962. RoseAnn was also a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshall.

RoseAnn is survived by her husband, Curt of Marshall; a daughter, Kym Bauer (Shaun) of Jefferson; siblings, Richard (Lea) Nordness Jr. of Sun Prairie, Terry (Barb) Nordness of Janesville, Steve (Sheryl) Guetzlaff of Sun Prairie, Shelly (Keith) Ullrich of Windsor, Kurt (Ann) Nordness of China and Denise (Jeff) Stier of Indiana; two grand daughters, Courtney Bauer (Ryan Dion) of Whitewater and Tara Bauer of Oshkosh; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other relatives.

RoseAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Nordness Sr., Irene Guetzlaff and Willard Guetzlaff and one son in infancy, Baby Johnson in 1965.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Agrace HospiceCare and all the doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Hospital for the love and care they gave to RoseAnn.

Memorials services will be held at the Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 6:00 PM. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
