Rosemary “Rose” Theresa Berkich

Waunakee - Rose Berkich, of Waunakee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 8th with loving family members by her side. She was born on July 15th 1933 to Rose and Al Meinholz of Ashton. She married the love of her life John Berkich in Lawndale, CA on July 2, 1955. They had 64 wonderful years of marriage together with five children and were lifelong members of St Peter's Catholic Church.

Mom loved her puzzles and was an avid seamstress for many years. She made clothes for her children as well as bridesmaids dresses for several of her children's weddings. She also loved making doll clothes for her children and grandchildren.

Rose was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include two sons, Michael (Marlis) and Daniel (Jill); three daughters, Carol (Michael) Miller, Paula (Thomas) Feckler and Rose (John) Flitz; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John, her grandson Sam Berkich, daughter-in-law Mary, her two sisters Agnes Acker and Jane Faust; three brothers Joseph (Jody), Thomas (Tom) and Aloysius (Allie).

We would like to thank all the CNAs and nurses at Waunakee Valley Senior Living for the care of our Mother for the last several years as well as the activities gals for helping Mom win lots of chocolate and jewelry at Bingo. Also, Shelley, for being so kind at the front desk and becoming our friend.

 Funeral services will be held on Wed. Jan. 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St Peter’s Catholic Church 7121 County Trunk K, Middleton, WI. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday the 29th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place at a later date. A Reception will follow at the Hawks Nest 7914 State Rd 19 Dane

 We would also like to thank all the people at Agrace Hospice especially Rachel, Melanie, Jana, Brian and Derek for everything they did to give Mom comfort and companionship. It was very helpful to us, her family, to know she was always surrounded by people that care.
