Madison - Rosemary Slaght (nee Reilly), age 81, passed away on October 21, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

Rosemary was born on December 31, 1929 in Madison to Bernard and Mabel (Helland) Reilly.

Rosemary was united in marriage to John Slaght on December 24, 1953.

Rosemary was a wonderful wife, mother and a very giving person. She enjoyed collecting depression glass, was an antique buff and loved working on genealogy. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, John; two children, Pamela Dawn and Arthur Marshall Slaght; her brothers, Bernard (Phyllis) Reilly, George (Aileen) Reilly, three sisters, Marian Voss, Janet Kleiboer, and Joann (Don) Levinski, two sister-in-laws. Sue FitzGibbon and Marcella FitzGibbon, her dear friend, Lois O'Neil and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father James FitzGibbon, two brothers James FitzGibbon and Bob FitzGibbon and a sister, Kathy FitzGibbon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the American Heart Association, 2850 Dairy Drive, #300, Madison WI 53718.

A memorial service will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave. Madison WI on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 4:00 PM. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Internment of cremains will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date.
