Ross A. Bird

His work life started as a paperboy for Beloit Daily News followed by a stint at Country Kitchen in Clinton.  He then studied printing at Madison College and apprenticed at Democrat which later became Webcrafters where he finished a 42-year career.   He worked his way up to head pressman before retiring.  He had a talent for building and fixing almost anything and would go the extra mile to help anyone out. His free time was spent with his family, tinkering in the garage and woodworking.

Ross is survived by his wife, Thelma; children, Donald (April) Bird, and Lisa Bird (Bryan Weier); sister, Judy Behling; Sisters-in-law Peggy Bird, Jean Zeiders; Brother-in-Law Roger Vance and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim & Glen, sisters Phyllis & Marian.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace in Sun Prairie.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Agrace Hospice as well as Bridgette and the staff at Sienna Meadows Memory Care of DeForest.
