Roy H. Davis

Waunakee/ Madison-Roy H. Davis age 74, died on Thurs. April 22, 2010. He was born on May 21, 1935 to Harley and Grace (Hutson) Davis in Spring Green. He graduated from Spring Green High School and joined the Air Force in l955. He was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and Roswell Air Base in New Mexico as well as three months in England. He married the former Selma Gilbertson on Oct 27, 1962. He was first employed at the one of the Frank Lloyd Wright farms in Spring Green and later was employed at Certco Co. in Verona and retired in l997 following 29 years of employment. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, camping and the outdoors. Survivors include his wife Selma, one son Thomas (Carrie) Davis and a grand-daughter Alyssa. One brother, Elmer of Lone Rock. He was preceded in death by his brother Walter. Funeral services will be held on Tues. April 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St Lukes Lutheran Church ELCA 7337 Hubbard Ave. Middleton. Rev Heather Lampert will preside. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home 5785 Hwy Q Waunakee on Monday April 26, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Tues from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the Spring Green Cemetery.
