Rudi Hermann passed away peacefully on Sunday July 2nd, 2023, at home in Verona, WI. He was surrounded by family as he left behind 96 remarkable years.
Rudi was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 16th, 1927. He married his one and only, Nancy Louise Hoffmann, on June 10th, 1950. Rudi represented the U.S. Army during World War II and was extremely proud of his time serving his country. His very successful career in the banking industry started with Rudi working as a teller, then a bank examiner, and retiring as a bank president. At that time, Rudi and Nancy moved to Florida where they enjoyed the warmth and sunshine for 36 years before returning to his home state.
Rudi had many passions and talents that spanned his decades with us. His love for the outdoors included fishing in Canada, hunting, and swimming laps in lakes and pools until the very end. He played the trumpet, was a private airplane pilot, and an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was a kind and intelligent man who cherished time spent with his family. Rudi’s ultimate love was traveling the world with his bride Nancy, making memories in numerous countries.
Rudi is survived by his wife Nancy Hermann of 73 years; his children Barbara (Tom Clifford) Hermann, Patricia (Chuck) O’Malley, David (Sue) Hermann, Randy (Nikki) Hermann; brother-in-law Robert Hoffmann; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At Rudi’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
