Russell Lavern Frisinger

Russell L Frisinger, age 88, of Madison passed away Tues. Jan 30, 2024 at Oak Park Place. He was born April 29, 1935, the son of Norman and Selma (Wahl) Frisinger in Barron, WI. On July 23, 1955 he married Donna Wesenberg; they welcomed four children. Russell worked in construction as a cement finisher. He also worked part time at the Dane Co. Memorial Coliseum for 40 years. 

Russell enjoyed hunting, fishing, and any time spent at the cottage "up north". He also loved playing a variety of card games and in retirement Russell and Donna traveled extensively across the U.S.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Norma Clement, Ilene Scheil, and Shirley Richter, and brothers Guy and Kenneth Frisinger. He is survived by his wife Donna and their children: Linda (Brian) Sime, Curt (Melody), David (Leslie), and Daniel. Grandchildren: Patrick (Chrissy) Sime, Nicole (James) Ohman, George (Kelly) Bryant, Jessica (Mark) Schultz, and Jenny Frisinger; as well as five great-grandchildren, his brother Jerry (Mary), sister-in-law Deeana (Bill) Foss and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Midvale Community Lutheran Church 4329 Tokay Blvd, Madison on Wed, Feb 7, 2024 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 am until the time of service.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of one's choice.
