Madison-Russell D. Hyatt, age 72, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Meriter Hospital, Madison. He was born on May 22, 1938, in the Township of New Haven, Adams County the son of Fay & Sylvia (Everson) Hyatt. Russell was united in marriage Lorna Lansing until her death and he later married Marjorie Hoffman and she survives. He retired from employment with State of Wisconsin after 30 years of service. Russell was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp attaining the rank of Sergeant. His passion in his spare time was golf but he also enjoyed horseshoes, bowling, playing pool and loved all types of dancing (polka, square dancing, etc). In addition to his wife Marjorie, Oregon, he is also survived by his son, Dale (Jeannette) Hyatt, Aiken, SC; grandson, Dale Robert Hyatt, Jr., Kennewick, WA; sisters, Betty Jean Zenke, Windsor and Rilla Belle Leigh, Madison; step children, Judy (Ron) Jabs, Jackie (Tom) Amacher, John (Nancy) Hoffman and Jenny (Fred) Kirchenwitz; step grandchildren, Ryan & Dusty Jabs, Martin Amacher, Katie & Matt Hoffman and Abby & Nate Kirchenwitz; other relatives and friends. Besides his first wife he was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Faye Trinkner. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with full military honors at Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison.
