Russell Rutlin

SUN PRAIRIE—Russell “Russ” F. Rutlin, age 83, passed away at home on Monday, March 29, 2021 with his family by his side.   He was born on March 11, 1938 to Ferdinand and Margaret (Sellnow) Rutlin.

Russ was a huge Wisconsin sports fan.  He loved to watch the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and his University of Wisconsin teams.  Russ was a huge Matt Kenseth fan, and he never turned down an opportunity to watch a race!

Russ was in the Carpenter’s Union for close to 40 years.  He worked at Sullivan Corp for a number of years.

Russ is survived by his wife Ruth; children Connie Nasett, Terry (Gayle) Rutlin, Traci Brewer, Kim (Tracy) German; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.  He is further survived by his sister Ann Walser, nephews Kyle and Kent Walser, and many other relatives and dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Dick Walser, and nephew Eric Walser.

Visitation will be from 9-10:00 am on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 550 Lincoln Drive, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 am.  Russ will be brought to his final place of rest at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens following service.
