Russell Glenn Slotten, Jr., age 61 passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Meriter Hospital. He was born in Madison on March 28, 1951 the son of the late Russell Glenn, Sr. and Alice Margaret (Manson) Slotten. Russell attended Madison Central High School and graduated Class of '70. For 33 years, he worked at Madison Newspapers as a Pressman. Russell was generous, caring and giving to his family and friends. He loved Madison especially the vibrancy of the State Street area.

Russell will be deeply missed as the beloved brother to: Susan (James) Morrison, Edward (Debra) Slotten, Margaret Rupert, Mary Roed, and Carolyn (Daniel Pritikin) Slotten; beloved uncle to: Tim and Jeff Morrison, Lisa and Scott Slotten, Chris, Heather, and Steve Patton, Meghan Roed, Marques Pritikin, Venicia Slotten and Jennifer Pritikin; beloved great uncle to: Colin Patton and Calvin, Sophia, and Elliot Belair. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Gathering celebrating Russ' life will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison on Saturday, June 2, 2012, beginning at 11 am until 12 Noon, when a brief time for sharing and luncheon will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
